I assist and guide cricketer’s on the coast from ages 10 through to mid 20’s.
My passion for the game extends from playing from a very early age right through until my retirement 4 years ago. During my playing days I always found myself mentoring those that were younger than me at club level, which made the decision to follow coaching a very easy one. I started Central Coast Cricket Academy 3 years ago with a good mate and in the last 2 years have been solely focussed on building an environment for those playing the game on the coast, who are looking to improve and grow as individuals.
Our program consists of specialised 1 to 1 batting, keeping, bowling and fielding sessions which are both drill based and match scenario based sessions. We also have School Holidays Camps that are group based with game scenario and technique based drills and activities, I also work with a local school developing their cricket program from the introductory skills level right through to leading their First X1 side in the ISA competition with the view of “Coaching the Coaches” program to start in season 2020/21.
Our motto is to Love the game, Learn to Grow and Continue to Improve. It is a game and we should allow ourselves to make mistakes during our lives. There is no such thing as failure, they are all learning opportunities.
